Mounting support
This mounting support made from MIM-4605 low alloy is used in laptop weighing only 0.05g. The microMIM part features a thin wall 0.3mm thickness, a through hole in 0.5mm diameter with screw thread inside, 0.1mm chamfer in one end of the screw hole. MIM proved to be the most cost effective manufacturing way for the high production volumes of 1 million per year. This intricate part represents high level microMIM mold making technic and MIM production process control securing the high precision demands.
 
Magazine support
This part with complex 3 dimensional shapes is used in a light arm and has been specially designed for MIM production. The part is made from MIM-4340 low alloy steel, sintered to a density of 7.50 g/cm3 and has a hardness of 40 - 44 HRC after heat treatment. The material has a tensile strength of 1500 MPa, yield strength of 1350 MPa. The part is characterized by thin walls and sharp edges. To produce this part by other metal forming methods in an efficient way is almost impossible. MIM technology perfectly suits this part in large quantity demand, at the same time cost saving.
 
Magazine catch
This part is made from the alloy grade MIM-8620 and is
used in the mechanism of light arms. The parts are case hardened with a surface hardness according to the requirements of drawings of 650-700 HV1 and a case depth of 0.15-0.25 mm. The part has slots in different directions and a blind hole. The MIM technology offers to the end user 45% cost savings as compared to machining.
